At my simplest.

In August 2020 I made a lot of watercolour paintings and even took a chance at making one of myself. When I used watercolours for the first time in high school, my problem was a tendency to normally paint by adding a lot of layers and blending wet paints on the canvas. I had to develop a different technique in order to create an image with simple brushstrokes. I tried to be as swift as possible with my brushstrokes for this work and was satisfied soon after I had started. It just felt like it was done. I didn’t need to fill the entire space to be defined.

Naturally to anyone who knows me in real I had to capture myself in yellow since this colour tends to make me feel assured, uplifted and inspired.
