The Green Guardian

This T-shirt first started out with trying a new tie-dye technique, but the result of that was a perfect diamond-shape in the middle of the shirt. The yellow diamond just called for an image.

I decided that I wanted to eradiate some sense of empowerment and transformative energy. The design was somewhat based on a drawing I made three years ago, which happened to be a great allegory for what I was aiming for here. The colours were new, however, and I also ended up giving the figure mehndi. In the end, I actually started to feel protected by wearing this little green guardian I had created. I like the idea of it being enchanted yet also enchanting in some sense.
